In July 1931, alongside the huge water tanks at Longsight MPD, Manchester is ex-L&NWR, Webb 'Coal Engine' (LMS '2F') No. 8271. It was built at Crewe in Dec. 1890 as L&NWR No. 1319 and was withdrawn in Dec. 1948 still liveried as LMS No. 28271.
