At Crewe Works on Sunday, 1st May 1938, ex-London & North Western Railway Webb 'Coal Engine' class 0-6-0 No. 2809, built at Crewe in February 1873 as L&NWR No. 944. It was re-numbered in July 1912 to L&NWR No. 3289, then to LMS No. 8091 in September 1928, and finally to LMS No. 28091 in January 1937 to allow a new '8F' class 2-8-0 to take the 8091 number. It was withdrawn from service in August 1953 as BR No. 58321.
