The driver is oiling round GWR King No 6015 King Richard III outside Swindon Works after a General repair completed in July 1937. The inside valve covers, buffer heads and motion are all polished and it has the 1930s roundel on the tender. The top feed pipes are now curved behind the nameplate and the top lamp bracket moved down onto the smokebox door but the footstep on the door has not yet been taken off.
