GWR King 4-6-0 No 6017 King Edward IV passes Gerrards Cross with the 2.10pm Paddington-Birkenhead (M18) on 30 July 1960.

Peter Kerslake says "July of 1960 would have 6017 now allocated to Wolverhampton Stafford Road following its transfer there from Laira in February of the previous year with its withdrawal following in July of 1962. The first pf Laira's 'Kings' to have a double chimney this 'King' was also the seventh of the fourteen to receive new front frames and inside cylinder block whilst at Swindon from late September until 5th. December, 1955 and this view shows the modified valve stem covers and new inside cylinder block confirming that work had been carried out".
