6000 1959c Swindon
Due into Swindon at 10.41am, 6000 King George V on the 9.5am from Paddington to Bristol is a minute late as it slows for the station stop. It had replacement front frames incorporating a new inside cylinder block, probably during a Heavy Intermediate overhaul at in late 1956, as shown by the strengthened lifting holes in the sides of the front frames, just visible here, together with the raised top to the inside valve chest.
