46237 1955-09-14 Shap

No 46237 City of Bristol climbs Shap with the down 'Royal Scot' on September 14, 1955.
Peter Kerslake says "46237 had spent four weeks on the Western Region from 19th April 1955 where it had been tested against the Western's Kings, running between Paddington and Plymouth and also between Paddingon and Bristol Temple Meads in addition to a spell on the Wolverhampton line from the Capital .
The Bristol runs were curtailed, however, as the Pacific was too large for the turntable at Bristol's Bath Road depot and had to be turned on the North Somerset Junction Triangle before returning to Paddington."
