LMS Coronation 4-6-2 No 46239 City of Chester with a Down express in the 1950s. I wonder if 462339 is still in blue livery in this photo as it was one of the few to retain this colour scheme after receiving a full smokebox. Others were 46226, 46228 and 46240

'W251' was the 10:40hrs London Euston to Carlisle due at Tebay at about 5 pm seen here in the Lune Gorge with the River Lune on the left hand side of the photo, below the railway.
