A Precursor 4-4-0 leading a Prince of Wales 4-6-0 in late 1920's. Both locos appear to have the LMS crest on the cabside which was used briefly between 1926-28. Apart from the LMS livery, which could be red or black, and the smokebox number plate the Precursor is almost in original LNWR condition with Ramsbottom safety valves and lamp sockets and original cab profile and has probably not been superheated. The POW 4-6-0 has received a Belpaire firebox and also cut down cab roof. The leading carriages appear to be from the 1908 12 wheel Corridor stock with brake third to D63 leading possibly still in LNWR livery. I am not sure if these coaches were used on the North Wales route and the scene does not look like Penmaenmawr but would fit with a WCML express on the down fast between London and Roade
