Whitby Town Station was (and is) a delight to visit and was immaculately maintained as can be witnessed by this fine panorama looking towards the terminus bufferstops.
BR Riddles 'Standard 3' 2-6-0 No. 77013, built at Darlington in July 1954 is doing a spot of station pilot work on a lovely day in the late 1950s. Its withdrawal would come in March 1966.
