A wintry scene on the 1 in 66 of White Swan Brae sees No 19 dragging another load of coal towards the Baum Washer on 6th January 1970. When coal traffic on the WPR main line ceased in late March 1970, the WPR locomotives continued in use to deal with traffic to the washer, but this too ceased on 26th June 1970. It was the end of an era.
