The 'Northumbrian' express from Newcastle to King's Cross has paused at Grantham in this 1951 view. At the helm is Edward Thompson's' unique class 'A1/1' No. 60113 'Great Northern', his much maligned (perhaps too much so!) rebuild of Gresley's original GNR built 'A1/'A3'.
