BRCW No.D5387 in the Works in the mid-1960s. Built at Smethwick in May 1962 the Type 2 stayed on the Midland Division until November 1969 when it moved to Scotland where the class was being concentrated. As with several other members of what had become TOPS Class 27, it was to return to the Midlands to be dismantled in 1987 at Vic Berry's scrapyard in Leicester.
