Peter Kerslake adds "This would be a summertime special working with a return working later in the day. The grade here is 1 in 40 at its steepest, slightly easier than that of the Newton Abbot side of Dainton which at its steepest is 1 in 36 but 5957 seems to be working well with what looks like seven or so coaches and no pilot engine and with little steam loss."
