GWR 43XX 2-6-0 No 7311 with an up freight at Cowley Bridge Jct on 17 June 1959.
Peter Kerslake says "This view shows how vulnerable the lower River Exe levels can be liable to flood, especially at Cowley Bridge junction a short distance away where the Western Region main lines meet those of the Southern Region from North Corwall and North Devon.
7311 has come from Exeter's freight yards and is now heading away doubtless bound for Taunton and beyond."
