6001 1962-06-16 Beaconsfield
GWR King 4-6-0 No 6001 King George II with the 4.10pm Birkenhead Woodside to Paddington approaches Beaconsfield on 16 June 1962.
Peter Kerslake says " Steam workings on the line between Paddington and Wolverhampton were drawing to a close at this date and with steam having been eliminated from virtually all the West of England services there wasn't much left for Old Oak's Kings to do. 6001 was condemned on 4th September 1962."
