2552 1925-04 Finsbury Park

LNER A1 Pacific No 2552 (un-named) leaves Finsbury Park with the 4.15pm Kings Cross to Doncaster slow when new in spring 1925.

The first three vehicles are very interesting, a LBSCR special cattle van is leading, then a LSWR Four-wheel luggage van built 1917, then what I believe to be a LBSC horsebox. It would be interesting to know how these were worked through to Kings Cross as presumably they are loaded. Steve Banks says "The combination of vehicles off the SR suggests an agricultural fair rather than a race meeting." The array of the GNR Somersaults are a grand sight as also are the twelve wheeler Pullman Cars with a Pilot attached."
