An early case of inter-regional working. LNER B1 4-6-0 No 61328, in BR apple green livery, enters Nottingham Midland with a Cleethorpes to Birmingham express on November 4, 1948. (This engine entered service on June 16, 1948 and spent it entire life allocated to Immingham shed). (No 61318 worked the same train on the previous day - it too was allocated to Immingham all its life).
