LNER B1 4-6-0 No 61106 with a Nottingham Forest football special to London at Nottingham Victoria on 5th October 1957 for the match against Spurs (Spurs 3, Forest4). For the modellers this is a lovely study of a well cleaned engine, showing the parts that were left dirty etc. The circular headboard is not secured - the front dart handle is still missing. I wonder who provided these circular headboards, the Loco or Carriage Department or perhaps the promotions Department. They seemed particluarily keen on them in the BR(E) Nottingham area.
