Ex-GCR Class Q1 0-8-0T No 69936 at Gorton in September 1956.
The 13 locomotives of this class had all been rebuilt for the LNER from Class Q4 0-8-0 tender engines to Thompson’s design in 1942-5. All were scrapped in the mid to late 1950s.
