BR Peak class 45 No D35 with the SO 12.10 Cardiff-Derby at Pengam on 30 July 1966. Note the huge pile of coal in the yard and the sorting sidings are overgrown but still in place. The crossovers from the goods lines have been disconnected. The piles of coal are on what was Roath Storage sidings. The grass grown sidings was Pengam Up Yard - known as "Back of the Box" sidings for obvious reasons.
