LNER class A1 4-6-2 No 4477 Gay Crusader departs from Kings Cross with the 5.45pm Newcastle express in June 1933. No 4477 was the last of the early A1s Nos 4470-81 to retain its GNR loading gauge not being reduced until September 1933.
