This was taken on the ‘Bushey Triangle’, just after Watford High Street Station, from the road over bridge on Wiggenhall Road heading towards Bushey station. It will stop just around the next bend. Move forwards, with the Electric Car sheds on the right, towards the Football ground, then reverse back with Car sheds now on the left, back through Watford High Street Station and onto Watford Junction. The Electric Car sheds and that leg of the triangle are now long gone.
Apparantly when Willesden shed was congested or the turntable out of action it was common practice to send locos, often in multiples, to the Bushey Triangle for turning.
There are no specials listed on Six Bells for this date. Merchant Navy class pacifics were rare but as Light Pacifics often worked the through services from the SR, being Kent bound so were more often seen.
