E801 1928-10-28 Battersea Park shed

E801 1928-10-28 Battersea Park shed

SR N15 4-6-0 No E801 Sir Meliot de Logres at Battersea on 28 October 1928. To be more precise, Battersea Park MPD, which was the former LBSCR shed. I don't think King Arthurs were ever allocated there as it was a roundhouse and the turntable was too short to turn/stable them, even the six wheel tender ones built specifically for the 'Brighton'. I think they turned at the small yard just outside the 'Brighton' side of Victoria - which was in use until the end of steam on the Southern's Central Section around 1965.
