View NW, towards Birkenhead (right) and (left) the main lines to North Wales and by GWR to Shrewsbury etc. The 11.40 from Rhyl is being slipped in between all the Summer Saturday traffic, behind LMS Fairburn 4MT 2-6-4T No. 42240 (built 9/46, withdrawn 4/66). Behind is the bridge carrying the A56 Hoole Way.
