42193 1957-06 South Beach station, Ardrossan

The train is entering Ardrossan South Beach station. Holm Junction is just beyond the bridge in the background. The Caledonian route indicator above the buffer beam shows that this is an Ardrossan to Glasgow St Enoch train and the fact that 42193 is a 67A Corkerhill engine confirms that it is headed to St Enoch and not Glasgow Central.
This engine built by BR January 1948; w/d December 1962.
