Fairburn class 4 2-6-4Ts Nos 42060 and 42125 stand beside Beattock shed in 1964. No 42125 has just returned with 'The Siege' - a one carriage train that made two return trips to Beattock summit on Saturdays to enable railwaysmen's families who lived in remote locations on the bank and at the summit to come down to Moffat to do their weekly shopping etc.
