42160 1949c Derby shed

Derby built almost all of the Fairburn 2-6-4Ts including No.42160 fresh out of the shops in July 1948. It has one of the transitional British Railways liveries, plain black with large LMS pattern lettering and numbers. Its first shed was Wigan Central but it quickly moved to St.Albans before returning to Derby shed in March 1951, remaining there for seven years.
