SLS ‘Star Special’ with one of the last surviving ‘Star’ Class 4-6-0s No 4061 Glastonbury Abbey, 11th September 1955. The train ran from Birmingham Snow Hill and return, to Swindon, Oxford & Didcot. In this photo a group of seasoned photgraphers are recording the run. On the right with a camera on a tripod is Maurice W Earley, founder of the Railway Photographers Association.
