4011 1920s Newton Abbot
GWR Star 4-6-0 No 4011 Knight of the Garter at Newton Abbot shed in c1925.
Peter Kerslake says "4011 "Knight of the Garter" has been well turned out for his next duty here at Newton Abbot depot in the 1920's, the engine being based at old Oak Common at about this time, ending its days whilst allocated to Worcester in November of 1932.
4011 displays the original design of squared inside cylinder block together with the tall safety valve bonnet and absence of outside steam plpes".
