This is Northampton Castle Station on 19th February 1966. British Railways are heralding the arrival of the new electrified services offering faster, cleaner and safer trains. Castle Station will be completely rebuilt in a much needed facelift, but electric catenary will not exactly enhance the skyline. A local taxi firm are using a classic period Ford Zephyr 'Z' car to enhance the scene!
