Shenstone station in the late 1960s looking towards the Lynn Road overbridge in the direction of Lichfield. The 1884 building was very flamboyant and extensive for what was then a small village station on a secondary line. Unlike most of those at the other stations on the route it survives virtually unchanged to this day on the electrified line, and indeed is busier than ever as Shenstone itself has expanded significantly. Note that the platform has been raised to modern standards requiring a drop to the station doors.
