Down Express about to enter the station. The second coach is interesting, it is a LMS period II coach with almost no beading and Stones ventilators above the windows, one of which is dropped down for additional ventilation, a bit like a super size door droplight.
Ian Townend says "I think the second coach is a late period II 57' open third class coach for general service. They were built to D1807 and were steel panelled and were introduced in 1931/32"
