One of the strange anomalies of the ex-LMS Fowler 'Patriot' class are the 'missing' names. Why on earth should several seemingly random members of the class fail to be given names? Nameless 45517 in lovely evening light at Rhyl MPD in Denbighshire. We are told that some of the gaps were apparently allocated names, but for reasons unknown never received them. Photo dated Sunday 20th May 1956.
