45531 1950c Brinklow

Rebuilt in December 1947 ‘Patriot’ 4-6-0 No.45531 Sir Frederick Harrison on a northbound express at Brinklow. The engine is in experimental apple green livery and underneath the grime on the tender is the full BRITISH RAILWAYS lettering. Smoke deflectors were fitted during a Heavy General repair in June/July 1951. No.45531 was allocated to Bushbury when converted and transferred to Edge Hill in June 1950, it gained its BR number in May 1948.
