At Crewe North from June 1950 until November 1952, ‘Patriot’ 4-6-0 No.45502 Royal Naval Division with a southbound express in the early 1950s at Brinklow. It received its BR number in November 1948. The cabside nos appear to be of the early pseudo LMS 10'' block style.
The ‘stock board’ used to fit train reporting numbers on the smokebox door is attached to the handrail only at its top edge and has been flipped up.
