900 1927 Burton & Holme
LMS 4P Compound No 900 double-heading with 903 on the down 'Royal Scot' passing Burton & Holme in 1927. This pairing would have taken over the train at Carnforth, the haulage from London to Carnforth probably in the hands of a Claughton. With the introduction of the Royal Scots later in 1927 non stop haulage of the 'Royal Scot' train from London to Carlisle became possible.
