Compound 4-4-0 No 1054 stands at Nottingham Midland with an up express in c1928/29. This was the locomotive which hauled the non stop Edinburgh portion of the 'Royal Scot' on 27 Aug 1928 (prior to the LNER introducing the non stop 'Flying Scotsman') and paired with the rebuilt large capacity Deeley tender for this one off special.
