41144 1954-04-11 Nottingham Midland

MR 4P Compound 4-4-0 No 41144 with a Derby-Lincoln train leaving Nottingham Midland on 11 April 1954. The first vehicle is a former LNWR 'Combination Truck', basically a ventilated CCT. As it dates from the 19th century it is probably in departmental service, delivering parts to outlying facilities. They were used for loco stores up until the 1970s, the last few branded as 'Cell Trucks' based at Wolverton Works.
