A nice shot of the unique Fowler ‘old standard’ 3,500 gallon type with the coal capacity increased in May 1933 by extending the sides to cab roof level and turning them over to fit within the loading gauge in a similar manner to Stanier’s tenders. It ran for many years behind 40936 then in 1954 was transferred to 40933.
