Withdrawn in early December 1952 but marked up as it an overhaul was planned. It was one of the first six to be withdrawn, all Scottish engines. Nice to see the size of the big Compound 3rd cylinder. Repairs of locomotives ceased during 1952. From that date, Kilmarnock Works only dealt with locomotives for scrap.This is adjacent to the former carriage shed on the northern edge of the site.
