Lurking in the labyrinths of BR's works, sheds, stations, docks and quays were 0-4-0 Tank locomotives coming under the general description of 'Pugs'. The Midland Railway's contribution being ten of these Johnson '0F' class 0-4-0 Saddletanks of which 1897-built 41516 was the only one to survive beyond 1936! It is in the 'withdrawn' line at Derby Works in September 1955.
