On service 1C78 does anyone know what this was, possibly an Oxford? As usual there is a large oil leak coming down the side from the bottom of the side grill.

Bill Elkins says "During my career at Old Oak Common, 1C always prefaced a West of England service, F being a Cardiff/Swansea service. However Robert Waterman says " By 1971, if my memory serves me correctly xCxx was used for South Wales. xBxx was used for Bristol and West of England. The Oxfords were xAxx, the same as for London bound."

The D7000's were thrashed on quite heavy South Wales services earlier in their tenure but rarely on a West of England service."
