34005 1957 near Faversham

SR Rebuilt WC 4-6-2 No 34005 Barnstaple in c1959. This is an up boat train from Dover Marine to Victoria via Chatham, probably just after 34005 was rebuilt and operating from Stewarts Lane between June 1957 and Jan 1958 although the train reporting number over the buffer beam suggests a summer Saturday working. Also note uninstalled third rail for the up line lying in the 'four foot'. By mid/late 1958 much of this had been laid in preparation for the June 1959 electrification. Not sure of the exact location but suspect somewhere between Canterbury East and Faversham.

Alan Goodwin adds " I am fairly sure it is just west of Faversham "
