30585 1960-07-19 Wenford Bridge
Beattie 2-4-0WT No.30585 at Wenford Bridge on 19th July 1960.
Peter Kerslake adds "It was one of three based at Wadebridge primarily for working the china clay trains from the drying plant at Wenford Bridge, but one of them was used on as station pilot at Wadebridge, with the third in steam as a reserve in case of a failure. All three were withdrawn in the summer of 1962 following sixty years service in Cornwall and were replaced by three class 1366 Pannier Tanks transferred from Weymouth. 30585 and 30587 have been preserved but 30586 was not so fortunate."
