Battle of Britain 4-6-2 No 34076 41 Squadron passes Seaton Junction with the 11.10am Plymouth-Brighton at Seaton Junction on 23 September 1959.

Robert Waterman adds "It has to be after 15/8/59 when the AWS was fitted and the tender cut down. It is the 11.10am Plymouth - Brighton on Wednesday 23rd September 1959 (there would have been a 4 car Portsmouth portion at the rear as well). The coach formation is typical for the Plymouth -Brighton/Portsmouth service. On the SR West of England services roof/cantrail boards were only used on this service or the ACE by this time. "
