34098 1964-08 Banbury
I wonder why it did not come off at Oxford, presumably Banbury will replace it with something from the WR.
1N63 was the Bournemouth – Bradford.
August 1964 sightings at Loughborough Central were, 7910 on 1st, 6911 on 8th, 6858 on 15th and 6906 on 22nd so it is likely that one of these took over at Banbury.
In 1964 1N63 was usually a West Country to Oxford, a Hall from Oxford to Nottingham Victoria and a Jubilee forward from Nottingham. On 15/08/64 6858 worked 1N72 not 1N63, which was 61094, the only summer Saturday in 1964 when a Hall was not used on 1N63. Therefore I had thought 15/08/64 was the most plausible date for 34098 working through to Banbury on 1N63, instead of coming off at Oxford, but Tony Saville says that 61094 took over at Oxford as proved by her being photographed on Aynho Troughs that day, and comparisons of that picture with later ones do suggest it’s the same day. Therefore what date is this shot?
