West Country 4-6-2 No 34028 Eddystone enters Plymouth North Road with a down goods train on April 12, 1955. This is down GW but up SR at Plymouth North Road - similar to Exeter St. Davids.

Peter Kerslake adds "This is the Exeter side of Plymouth North Road and 34028 has come up from the Southern's terminus and freight yards at Friary via Lipson Junction and is now heading for the Southern Region line to Tavistock, Okehampton and skirting Meldon and North Dartmoor."
