Southern Railway designed Bulleid 'Rebuilt West Country' class 4-6-2 No. 34096 'Trevone' at Bere Alston Station. 34096 was built at Brighton in November 1949, rebuilt in April 1961 and withdrawn in September 1964. Judging by the carriage formation (roof board on first vehicle, buffet restaurant car - third vehicle in a 5 car dining set west of Exeter) this is the Plymouth -Brighton service some time between April 1961 - 1964.
