SR Battle of Britain 4-6-2 No 34066 Spitfire on a three coach down slow leaving Dawlish in c1955.
Despite going to 72A Exmouth Junction in 1961, at this time 34066 was an Eastern Section 73A Stewarts Lane loco - see also the 73A shedcode on the smokebox - therefore it was a long way from home whilst employed on an SR/WR route familiarisation exchange duty rather than its normal Folkestone/Dover boat train or Ramsgate duties.
