SR Rebuilt Battle of Britain 4-6-2 No 34077 603 Squadron passes Bincombe Tunnel signal box with the 12.35 Waterloo-Weymouth on 23 July 1966. The signal box controlling the crossover and intermediate holding siding was provided for returning the bankers to Weymouth. Bincombe Tunnel signal box closed on 1st March 1970 and lay derilict for over 10 years.
